It was the first summer holiday I went to the university. I went to that headhunter company because they want to hire some summer intern to make some cold calls or did some paperwork. When I worked there, at the beginning they made me do some paperwork such as resume search and modify the resume that candidate provided. After a while they asked me whether I wanted to make cold call. And I said “No I don’t want to do that” because Im fresh in that industry and I didn’t know how to make a cold call. And there are some very professional knowledge and I thought I cant handle it. So i just did a lot of paperwork during that summer holiday.

It was the first summer holiday of university. I went to a headhunter company because they want to hire some summer interns to make some cold calls and do some paperwork. When I worked there, at the beginning they made me do some paperwork, such as resume searching and modifying the resumes that candidates provided. After a while they asked me whether I wanted to make cold calls. I said “No I don’t want to do that” because I was new to that industry and I didn’t know how to make cold calls. That seemed like very professional knowledge and I thought I couldn’t handle it. So during that summer holiday I just did a lot of paperwork.

Before I graduated from university, I have been an intern in a headhunter company. I learned that headhunters were need to take cold calls to make connections with candidates. I didn’t like to take cold calls because most of time you need to lie to the companies’ receptionists that you were a client of the person you want to call. Then the receptionists would transfer the call for you. After I graduated, I started to work at GM and my responsibilities are staffing operation and salary calculation and analysis. I learned all the knowledge of C&B in the work and I found that we can know companies’ sales situations, staff’s benchmark salaries and compared with other companies, whether our company’s salary were competitiveness. I can learn a lot of information from the data and I like do the work like that.
