Tonight, I was Agent J

Maybe you have heard immersive drama before, but do you know immersive movie as well?ā€ØThe couple days ago, I got an invitation from Secret Cinema to experience ā€œCasino Royaleā€ that was a great immersive movie. Itā€™s fantastic of transforming ordinary spaces into dreamscapes of film. First of all,I got an invitation from WeChat close the show date.It showed some messages about theater location, dress code and key-mission for the evening.

My friend who have experienced the show many times told me that you neednā€™t to see the film before, you just know that you are a part of the story as an agent, thatā€™s enough!

The story began before I arrived at the gate of the show stage. When I and my friend who dressed like an Oscar star stepped into the Ocean club where was the first stage in the show, a punk girl named Miranda noticed us and came. After introducing ourself to each other, she whispered me to brief a mission that was having a gamble and showhand to win, then I would get a message and brought it back to her. From then,my special-agent experience was beginning.I was very busy all night because I couldnā€™t stop to finished a lot of missions. Most of performers were english speakers, sometimes I couldnā€™t understand clearly what they said, and I didnā€™t know how should I do to continue the missions. I had to give the missions to other audiences to ensure the plot to be going on.However, none of the audiences say no.The reason why was everyone was on dress code,it was very hard to differentiate between performers and audiences.Thatā€™s really interesting. In the process of finishing the missions from Miranda, I met the antagonist: Le Chiffre. I spent much time following him to the end of the show. Itā€™s different from Sleep No More. In Sleep No More, you just feel free to watch and follow. But here, instead of just watching, you become part of the story. Le Chiffre interacted to me, talked with me all the time, and let me help him constantly to push the story forward. No one could know how much I stressed.

At the end of the show, I followed Le Chiffre to experience the one of many ends of the story. Finally, Le Chiffre found out that Miranda was a spy as his assistant. He was angry and wanted to kill her.At that time,I stepped forward and shouted: “Stop it! She is my friend! ā€ Suddenly, Le Chiffre looked and pointed at me with a knife and asked: ā€ you?” then I went back to the crowd immediately and said, ā€œ …WAS ! She WAS my friend!ā€and then, Miranda died.

It was so real that I was really scared!

This show lasted for 3 hours. Each character had oneā€™s own story. Whether you want to be the hero at the heart of the action, or just following a performer who you want to watch,or choose constantly finishing the missions to complete the story , or feel free to watch, to explore , to social with anyone, even to enjoy anything as a Royale guest of Casino,I mean you can gamble the whole night.

A very involving way to experience evolving stories, a film is brought to life in front of your eyes. Thatā€™s amazing. The attention to detail was insane, the performances were fabulous, and the audience were so dramatic. If you are a drama queen ,you should come absolutely! Enter the story, live the story, and be the story.

Maybe you have heard ofĀ immersive drama before, but do you know aboutĀ immersive movies as well?ā€Ø AĀ couple ofĀ days ago, I got an invitation from Secret Cinema to experience ā€œCasino Royaleā€- it was a great immersive movie.
