Writing exercise

Hello, I am Ruby Chen. I am very happy to be here for the interview.

As of now, I work for Profex which is a Pharmaceutical agency company. There are three main departments in our company which are Pharmaceutical, cos-derm, and consumer, respectively. I am responsible for recruiting both cos-deem and consumer divisions.

Perviously, I was a recruiter for Watson’s Wine for about three years. I was responsible for recruiting for all departments, but I left  because the company had to cut down people so I left voluntarily. I wanted to look for a new opportunity for my career path.

Before that, I had about one year experience in a search firm and mainly served as a consultant for all functions of FMCG industry at that time. The reason for my leave was because our company merged with another stated-owned enterprise, as a consequence, my personal career goal was conflicting with the company.

I like to be a recruiter, or more precisely, I love to be a TA which means a view of not only filling positions, but also utilization of the candidates and their skills that come out of a rigorous recruiting process as a means to fill similar positions in the future also.

In my spare time I like to spend time with my family or friends. I like to go to yoga classes to keep myself active.I also enjoy reading novels and watching movies.

Speaking exercise

Six years ago, I started to work in the HR field, and I think it’s an interesting job. To me, talent is the core competition of a company. This year, I tried to understand the talent need of a company, analyze what kind of people can bring the biggest value, and how to find these kind of people. In my work, I will learn company’s culture, job duty, organize development planning, I am interested in all of these things. In the process of interview, I will observe the candidate to get know his hidden motivation for the job, his expectations for the position. I will analyze the strength and the weakness of people with different backgrounds. Also, I will evaluate the proportion of the staff cost within the company, and get to know the logistics of staff cost and salary organization. Most importantly, I will understand the company’s operation through the HR’s angle, and help the company to attract talents, I am very interested in the new position, I hope this will bring me a new scope in the industry and a chance to learn.
