Speaking exercise

I went back to my home town in the National Holiday. I visited my relatives and my friends, one of my friend has baby so I go to her house to see her baby, she’s a cute girl. I have house in my hometown, but my mother have come to Shanghai to live with me, so our house is nobody, so we have to do the cleaning when we go back. There are any changes of my hometown, like private cars is increasing. Before I live there, I think traffic is good. But I go back there, there are many cars. There are many new restaurants near my house. I have many lunch and dinners with my friends in different restaurants, because I really missing the food. So i feel all the meals are delicious.

Man Drives Into The Ocean

An alleged car thief in Australia chose an unusual way to attempt to avoid the law. Following a two-hour car chase in Perth, the man stopped the vehicle to deflate the tire pressure before driving towards the beach. He then drove into the ocean.

As the vehicle began to sink, the man climbed out of a window and attempted to swim off. Officers were forced to wade into the waves in order to catch their suspect whose out-of-the-box escape tactic ultimately failed.

1. alleged: declared or stated to be as described; asserted:

ex: The alleged murderer could not be located for questioning

2.thief: someone who steals
ex: her phone was stolen by a thief
    A thief stole her phone
3. deflate: to release the air or gas from (something inflated, as a balloon):

ex: They deflated the tires slightly to allow the truck to drive under the overpass.
4.wade: to walk through water that is not deep

ex: He wasn’t swimming, he was wading.
ex: The children were wading in the pool most of the afternoon.
5. SUSpect (noun) xian yi ren= a person who is suspected, especially one suspected of a crime
ex: There are two suspects on the run.
ex: There are ten suspects for this brutal murder.
6. susPECT( verb) huai yi= to believe to be guilty, false, with little or no proof
ex: I suspect my sister for my missing jacket.
7. ultimate (adjective) = last; furthest or farthest; ending a process or series:

ex: the ultimate point in a journey
ex: the ultimate goal in life
ex: his tactic ultimately (adverb) failed.
