When was the last time you took the blame for someone else? How did it feel?

Vocabulary

transparent= all clear

ex: I have transparent windows in my bedroom

translucent= half clear

ex: shower glass doors are usually translucent.

opaque= cannot see through

ex: It’s difficult to see through an opaque glass, the glass is often very thick.

tinted window/ tinted glass= you can see things through the windows but people from outside cannot see you

took the blame= somebody else made a mistake, but you took over the consequence.

ex: I always took the blame of my brother’s mistake because I was the youngest one.

Grammar

  1. I haven’t vpn –> I don’t have vpn.

haven’t + verb = have not +verb 

ex: I haven’t done my homework

ex: I haven’t got the chance to talk to you

2. There have….. –> There are/ is / were/ was

ex: There are lots of good food in Japan.

Story of Celadon

There were two brothers in the ancient China, both of them made celadons. Technique of the brother is much better than the younger one, which made the younger one really jealous of his old brother. One day, the emperor ordered the older one to make some elegant celadons and the old brother was devoted to it, the younger one sees the opportunity to put some unknown powder into the kiln. Finally this celadon all have crack patterns outside the ceramic. The older brother was anxious and nervous because the emperor maybe cut his head, but he was honest, he showed this celadon to the emperor, as a result, the emperor was excited about the cracked celadon. This pattern became very famous. So we call the celadon which has cracked patterns “ge yao”.
