Speaking exercise

My daughter had a surgery last week, because one of her finger (thumb) cannot straight. We found this problem when she was three years and half, but this problem was always there when she born. I concerned this surgery have anesthesia, so I want to find another solution to treat this problem. But that was not successful, so we went to the hospital to have the thumb surgery. She is surprised because she is very brave, during the surgery, she didn’t cry. She said “mommy, do you think I’m very brave?” she’s a little bit ashamed if she cries. Now she go back school, she felt good, no pain for her thumb. The doctor said after three weeks, everything will be ok, can hold everything with her hand.

Revised

My daughter had a surgery last week, because one of her finger (thumb) cannot be straightened. We found this problem when she was three and a half years old. However, this was a persisting/on-going problem since she was born. I was concerned of this surgery due to the need of  general anesthesia, so I want to find another solution to treat this problem. However, I could not find an alternative method/solution that was not successful, so we went to the hospital to have the thumb surgery. I was surprised because she was very brave, during the surgery, she didn’t cry. She said “mommy, do you think I’m very brave?” she said she’d feel a little bit ashamed/embarrassed if she cried. Now she went back to school, she felt good, there were no pain in her thumb. The doctor said after three weeks, everything will be ok,  she would be able to hold everything with her hand (her thumb would function properly).Â
