Vocabulary

1. patio (pa tee o )= the outside area of the restaurant
ex: I like to eat at the patio in spring.

2. delicacy = 佳肴
ex: Stinky tofu is a popular delicacy in SH.

3. blow my mind– blew my mind= i was crazy for it
ex: it blew my mind to see that tourists were buying fried scorpions.

4. hash brown = “potato cake”
ex: I used to like hash brown from McDonald.

5. Timbits= the little round donuts
ex: the most popular Timbits is honey crueller.

6. chained= 连锁
ex: is it a chained coffee shop?
ex: QJ is a chained convenient store.

7. meaningless/ pointless=没有意义
ex: playing games is meaningless.
ex: it’s pointless to drink everyday.

8. shopping cart= 购物车

9. consequence= 后果
ex: there will be consequences if you keep cheating on your wife.

Describe a piece of advice that you were told.

I had a piece of advice from my best friend. I was used to make some decisions very quickly. If I want to do something, buy something, I will just do it, because I don’t want to have any regrets. Sometimes after I did something, I will say they are pointless. One day, my friend told me, before you do something, you can stay 6 seconds and to decide do it or not do it. Recently i tried it for something about my life, it’s working. I have a short time to think the result of some decision.

In Double Eleven, I add lots of things to my shopping list. On the day, i had much time to decide buying them. Finally, I just bought some one i needed and saved many money.
