Vocabulary

1. mid-autumn festival =中秋节🎑
ex: I celebrated mid-autumn festival with my family.

2. spider =蜘蛛🕷️
ex: I HATE spiders.
ex: if I see a spider at home, I will tell my mom to kill it.

3. cliff = 悬崖峭壁
ex: If I see a cliff, I will stop walking and go back home.

4. slippers= 拖鞋
ex: I don’t wear slippers at home because I like to walk on bare feet.

5. melatonin= 褪黑素
ex: If I want to sleep, I will buy the melatonin.

6. luxuries= 奢侈品
ex: I heard that the luxuries are cheap in Dubai, is it true?
ex: I think many luxuries are ugly, I don’t know why people like them.

7. trophy= 奖杯🏆
ex: I bought a little Oscar trophy in LA.

ex: In Dubai, they import lots of things from other countries.
ex: China exports trillions of business every year.

This month, I’ve been to three places I was first time go there. One is Los Angeles, second one is San Francisco, last one is Dubai. I looking forward go to Dubai but I didn’t like it. It’s dry over there, you go out, it’s not clear, everywhere is the sand, the air not good. It just have the central, you see the central, you will think it’s rich place. You go to other places, you will think it’s village. In Dubai, they don’t have many resources, they have to buy everything from other countries, so everything is expensive. You can buy many countries food in the supermarket.

Los Angeles pretty great, I  went to Universal Studio in Hollywood. I love movies, when I go there, all the time exciting. Every ride need to waiting one hour, so many people. I think not afraid every ride, but I was wrong. I was afraid Harry Potter, it have spiders. In San Francisco, We went to a road trip near the sea, they have the swing near the sea. You can play the swing and see the sea at the same time. If you want to play the swings, you need to cross a cliff. We wear dress and slippers to cross the cliff. We often play on first day, and second day we sleep and eating. I have to sleeping short time, one day many short time.

I buy an Oscar trophy 🏆 that says “best sweetheart”. I buy a pair of shoes for my boyfriend, it’s Levi’s but it’s really cheap, only 20 dollars. We have discounts when we buy things in the airport, like 10 % discount, so it’s good, if you buy some makeups, it’s cheap.
