F2F Class Notes (Lily)[S]

Yesterday I went to a wedding. She is my classmate at my high school. Unfortunately I don’t know anybody. I said why you only invite me, she said because when they get married, nobody invited her. Maybe I’m single, so she only invited me. She told me ” i will arrange you to sit at the men table”, it’s better at the men’s table because it’s for all single person, mostly young people. Unfortunately again, she arranged me to sit with her colleagues and her classmates, I don’t know anyone at that table. I was very serious to go to that wedding, I makeup, and good dress, everything to show my respect to her wedding. But it’s useless, because no one will notice me, because I don’t know anybody. The wedding is fine, but not in a five-star hotel, a very general hotel and restaurants. Everything looks crowded. It’s very strange, because her husband’s family is rich, they can have a better wedding. I felt awkward in that wedding.

I thought maybe I’m the only single person left, so she only invited me. She told me ” i will arrange you to sit at the main table/ top table/center table“, it’s better at the center table because it’s for all single guests/ people, mostly young people. Unfortunately again, she arranged me to sit with her colleagues and her classmates who were either married or dating, I didn’t know anyone at that table. I took the wedding very seriously, I did my makeup, and picked out a good dress to show my respect for her wedding. But it’s useless, because no one noticed me, and I didn’t know anybody. The wedding was fine, but it wasn’t in a five-star hotel, it was a very standard hotel with restaurants. Everything looked crowded. It’s very strange, her husband’s family is rich, they could have a better wedding at a nicer hotel.

Overall, I felt awkward in that wedding.
