Vocabulary

1.prescription＝ 处方
prescribe (verb)= 开药
ex: the doctor will prescribe you the medicine.
ex: You need to bring the prescription to the counter.

2. melatonin= 褪黑素
ex: My boyfriends takes the melatonin gummy every night before he sleeps.

3. gummy= soft candies
ex: gummy bears/ gummy worms
ex: Swisse has gummy candies for collagen.

4. needy/ clingy (adj)= when you really want to be with someone
ex: Dogs are more needy than cats.
ex: are you needy in a relationship?

5. breed= 种类 （animal)
ex: I don’t know the breed of the dog.
ex: Breeders make lots of money breeding pure breed dogs.

6. vaccinated= got shot
ex: The puppy got vaccinated.

7. quarantined/ isolated= 隔离／孤立
in a quarantine (noun)
ex: My brother always feel isolated because my sister and I never take him out for food.
ex: When my boyfriend comes back from Japan, he needs to be quarantined for 14 days.

I adopted a dog last weekend. Before if you ask me you want, I must say cat. I don’t know what changed my mind, so I want to have a dog to accompany me, because I think dog is more like your friend, but cat is so cold blood. That’s the reason why I’m looking for dogs I can adopt. I joined an organization and I found they have a poster, it mentioned they have an adoptation offline, and this place really close to my place. I went there and see they have any dogs I want to adopt. Finally I saw a very small dog, so small so cute. I asked the person if I can adopt this dog, she said you can but we have to check your place to see if the environment is good, and every condition is good for the dog. They finally think your place is have this dog. They asked me to prepare everything for the dog. They will give the dog to me on Friday night so I have Saturday and Sunday to take care of the dog. The dog is very unsafety, we have to spend time to stay.

I don’t know what changed my mind, now I want to have a dog to accompany me, because I think dogs are more like your friend, but cats are so cold-blooded. That’s the reason why I’m looking for dogs I can adopt. I joined an organization and I saw a poster which mentioned that they have an adoption event near my place, and this place really close to my place. I went there to see if they have any dogs I want to adopt. Finally I saw a very small dog that was so small and cute. I asked the person if I could adopt this dog, she said you could but we have to check your place to see if the environment is suitable, to see if my apartment matches the living condition for the puppy. They finally approved my place. They asked me to prepare everything for the dog. They will give the dog to me on Friday night so I have Saturday and Sunday to take care of the dog. The dog needs to get comfy with the new place, I have to spend time with her.
