Today we focused on:

Future tense

Grammar

future simple – future facts/things that you’re certain/promises/unplanned decisions

        will/shall + verb  (will/won’t/shall/shan’t)

ex. I will help you by asking customer service.

ex. He will be 28 in July.

ex. I will go shopping with my girlfriend later.

ex. I will go to Xiamen on Friday evening.

ex. Shall we go to the party later?

ex. You shall arrive here early tomorrow morning.

shall (more often used in the UK) vs. will 

-shall is more formal in a statement

-shall is often used to make suggestions or invitations

future continuous – something that will be happening at a time in the future/to guess what is happening now/asking for plans

     will + be + verb -ing 

ex. John will be sitting on the beach tomorrow afternoon.

ex. What will John be doing tomorrow afternoon?

ex. I think he will be taking a taxi now.

ex. Will you be coming to the exhibition on Saturday?

be going to + infinitive – plans(already made)/decisions/predictions

                                    be going to + verb (base form) 

ex. My parents are going to come here next week.

ex. You are going to hate me for telling you this story.

eg. It’s(it is) going to rain tomorrow evening.

eg. She is going to visit her cousins in Japan next month.
