Dear Madam,

I have heard your trouble about being fond of eating chocolates. Actually I don’t like to eat sweets or desserts and maybe I cannot understand why you cannot stopping eating chocolates the whole day. But I am the person who is fond of eating snacks especially savoury snacks.

I also have the problem that maybe you have. I know your feeling about it. Eating makes me happy and on the other hand it troubles me because of weight and so on.

I have some opinions to share with you.

First, you can buy less chocolates at home. When you want to eat it and you find that you have to go outside to buy. It will take you much more time and sometimes maybe you are too lazy to buy it. Even at last you go out to buy chocolates but it takes you a little bit time to think about it. So you eat less.

Second, you can choose expensive chocolates to eat. Every day you have to eat 10 bars of chocolates. If it will spend you a lot of money and you will consider if you should buy them or not.

At last, you can search some pictures on the internet of fat women. Every time you eat and take a look at these pictures then think about that you will be fatter and fatter. What a terrible thing it is.

I know it is not a simple thing for you to stop eating chocolates but maybe you can reduce the quantity.

I hope that you will be successful in the future.

Yours kindly,
Sally

Dear Cheryl, (address by first name- not so formal)

I have heard about your problem with eating chocolates/ being fond of eating chocolates/problem where you are addicted to eating chocolates. Personally, I don’t like to eat sweets or desserts and I cannot fully understand why you cannot stop eating chocolates for the whole day. But I am someone who is fond of eating snacks, especially savoury snacks.

I also have the problem that maybe you have. I know how you feel about it. Eating makes me happy but, on the other hand, it troubles me because I gain weight among other problems.

I have some opinions/thoughts to share with you.

First, you can stock up on less chocolates at home. When you want to eat them and you find that you have to go outside to buy, it will take you more time/it is time-consuming so you might feel lazy to buy them/you will be put off from buying them. Even if you go out to buy chocolates, you will hesitate to buy so you eat less.

Next, you can choose expensive chocolates instead. Since you have to eat 10 bars of chocolates every day, you will spend a lot of money so you will reconsider before you buy.

At last/Lastly, you can search for some pictures on the internet of fat women. Every time you eat and take a look at these pictures, imagine that you will become fatter and fatter. How terrible!

I know it is not easy for you to stop eating chocolates but you can try to reduce the quantity.

I wish you well.

Cheers/Love,
Sally
