If you ask me what’s the best invention in the past 100 years, I will say: The Internet.

Before the internet was invented, the world was large and unreachable. People were cut off from the surroundings that they were unfamiliar with. They could only chat with friends who lived around them. All the information only came from newspaper and television. Mobiles existed as communication tools. Game rooms were quite popular in that era.
With the invention of the Internet, the huge wave of technology washed out some old rules and behaviours. Our lives were completely changed.

The information barriers are removed. We can learn everything we are interested in by surfing the Internet. Communicating with people around the world is a piece of cake. For the first time, we can subjectively distinguish some viewpoints from different channels. Open information offers the equality of human minds.

The Internet also changes people’s lives. We will never lose ourselves by following digital map. Online shopping is not only saving our time but also promoting sales. More than two million applications are developed. They cover many categories such as: music, movie, game, art, sport, social media, etc. We can do almost everything without going out.

The ways of work and study are also changed by the Internet. During the quarantine of COVID-19 last year, all teachers and students took online classes at home. Employees worked from home to maintain the daily tasks.
The Internet has changed us a lot. In the future, it will have more important position. I think the Internet is undoubtedly the best invention in the past 100 years.

If you ask me what’s the best invention in the past 100 years, I will say: The Internet.
