regulation – an official rule

ex. There is a change in regulation for the number of people who can visit the island

peak time – a time of day when there are many cars or people

ex. Taking the subway is awful during peak time.

compete – fight for

ex. The older generation had to compete for food resources to survive.

stalls – outdoor food booths

live up to sbd’s expectation – to be as good as what you hoped for

ex. The trip to the mountain turned out to be a nightmare – it didn’t live up to my expectation!

homestay – 民宿
