This way, she can understand what is expected of her and can finish the task correctly. For example, say something like,” Can you please bring me the telephone? Or “please close the front door.” Avoid using a negative tone with her. Avoid saying something like, “Don’t leave the front door open.” I can reward positive behaviors with specific praise. For example,” I love that you put the trash in the trash can.” Listen to her and to understand her perspective if she need help understanding something or completing a task. For example, if she is not fully potty trained yet and has an accident, let her know it’s okay. Explain that next time she can let me know if she have to use the restroom.
