I am looking to talk about another project in my homework after the class on Monday.

Annually, as the L&D manager, I need to make the training plan which covers roughly 4,000 employees in whole China. It’s exactly complicated project which has many steps.

Firstly I need to collect the training needs from each employee which mean I need to know their career goals and current status, and find out the gaps for them. It seems impossible for me to collect needs from 4,000 employees individually. Fortunately, we have a system which I developed on 2014 to collect their needs and employees can easy to choose the training courses based on their gaps. so It’s easy for me to run the report of training needs from system.

Following that, I talk with each department head to fix their department training needs. Finally, I combine the fixed training needs of each department to make out the annual training plan.

Although the process is not very complicated, the communication with each department head is really rigorous because they don’t know what they want so that you need to provide a number of ideas and suggestions for them, they do the multiple choices like a student afterward.
