First I think it’s a happy things to send a gift to others. Maybe sometimes it’s a happier things for you than the receiver because you can get some positive feedback from others. It’s a very very appreciation things for you and also I like to receive gifts from others but sometimes others don’t know what you real need so maybe sometimes the gift is not useful. For my wife, when I decide to send a gift to her I usually ask her what you want recently, most of time she gives me a answer for what she wants so it’s easy for me to purchase the gift for her. For other friends it’s not reasonable to ask the question so you need to guess what she or he likes. Maybe you can through the observation on her daily life. For example, maybe she likes to drink tea, likes to drink tea, maybe you can follow her hobbies to buy some gift for her.

Maybe sometimes it’s more positive for you than the receiver / recipient because you can get some positive feedback from others. It’s a very very / deeply / incredibly appreciated thing for you to do and also / as well as this / on top of this / besides this I like to receive gifts from others but sometimes others / they / other people don’t know what your real needs are / what you really need so maybe sometimes the gift is not useful. For my wife, when I decide to prepare / give a gift to / for her, I usually ask her “what do you want these days / at the moment / what have you been wanting recently“, most of the time she gives me an answer for what she wants so it’s easy for me to (prepare the gift) purchase the gift for her. For / When it comes to / In terms of / When dealing with other friends it’s not reasonable to ask (the question) so you need to guess what they like. Maybe you can observe their daily life. For example, maybe she likes to drink tea, likes to drink wine, maybe you can follow her hobbies to buy some gifts for her.
