Vocabulary

Booking
reservation – Meeting or hotel or operation or for blocking a place or time
appointment – Doctors appointment or Dental or dinner meeting with someone or interview

stay = short time
live = permanent (long time)
eg. I live in Shanghai but when I travel I stay in a hotel

sightseeing – to look around when traveling
eg. I went sightseeing

reservation = appointment – to book a time
eg. Today work was slow we didn’t have any reservations or appointments

Silicon Valley – Near San Francisco, Google, Yahoo and Facebook

Castle – a fortified, usually walled residence, as of a prince or noble in feudal times.

Grammar

Visited fine dining spent a lot of money for seafood. – spent money on seafood 

Recently = Nowadays (now a days)
eg. recently I have been busy
eg2. nowadays I’m really busy

I transitioned from a office nurse to a pediatrician clinic nurse. – changed

I had some paperwork that i didn’t have time to finish.

I drove from LA to SF in 3 days on highway 1 and did the 17 miles drive in Carmel. We stayed in Monterrey for 1 night.

Why don’t Chinese people drink coffee as often as westerns?

I think the people in Shanghai like drinking coffee the most.

Shanghai has the most coffee drinkers in China.

Why do people like fast food restaurants for coffee?

It is inexpensive for them, close to there home or a convenient meeting location, it has people, you can sit down and chat with your friends.
