Describe how you found this apartment and the process you went through to acquire it
I began to want to buy a house in Taicang the year before last because none of my family has Shanghai Hukou (the registered permanent residence), even though I own an apartment in Shanghai. Probably my daughter would have no qualification to attend the National College Entrance Examination in Shanghai after her middle school.
Taicang is adjacent to Jiading district, Shanghai. It takes less than one hour from my apartment to its centre by driving. You can acquire Taicang Hukou if you have 2-year social insurance and a housing which construction area is not less than 70 square metre.
My wife started to pay her social insurance in Taicang with an employment brokerā€™s help last January. I found a housing agent and start to search for houses in November.
We found a best one in April. It is a house on the first floor with a yard. Construction area of the house and the yard respectively are 123 and 60 square meter. It has three bedrooms, one living room and a bathroom. One kitchen is also have. There is a camphor tree and some bamboos in the yard. Parking a car is very easy in the courtyard. All of us were very satisfied with the apartment.
We visited a bank two weeks after I made the down payment to the homeowner. I would get a mortgage in a couple of weeks. After that, I will get the ownership of the house from the homeowner. So, letā€™s just wait now.
