Vocabulary

Get down – lets get started working or doing something (sometimes means to stop doing other stuff); or to start having fun
eg. Lets get down to business.
eg. Let the party begin and lets get down and have some fun.

I’m down/I’m in – both mean to be okay to go and do whatever you have been asked
eg. Want to go see a movie tonight? I’m down/in

Top up – to refill something that’s empty
eg. I don’t have any credit on my phone, I need to top up.
eg. Can you top up my glass (beer)
I need to fill up/refill (American version)

Equivalent – two things that are the same that come from different places.
eg. The equivalent of a glass of beer in the UK is a pint of beer.

Sausage – (chorizo sausage – the best one)

Hype – many people say how good something is but don’t actually know for yourself.
Overhyped – something becomes to good to be true in your mind and when you experience it, its less.

Architecture – the design and creation of buildings (also a university degree); as well as the look of them.

Geography – the study of places, and land

Doesn’t sit well with me – something that makes you not comfortable afterwards (food, certain topics of conversation)

If I have enough money, I want to travel to Europe for a long time. The reason why I want to go there is because the culture is totally different from China. The buildings there are very looks beautiful. I think I want to go to Florence, Italy first, then I will go to Paris because I think it is a romantic city. I used to know Florence by different ways, programs is one way. I think European cuisine is not my taste, but I still want to have a try and experience different cuisines.
