Fleet – a large number of vehicles owned by a single company/entity

Shanghai has the largest public transportation system in China. The mileage of subway is the longest in the world. But it still has a lot of problems, firstly the rails in the center of the city/city center/downtown are so narrow, they are not designed for public transportation. Because these areas were originally built for rich people in upper classes which was called the foreign settlement. It can’t satisfy the demand for public transportation. Secondly there are two many private cars in Shanghai. Shanghainese opinion has changed a lot these past few years. Many people didn’t consider private cars are as a necessity 10 years ago but now almost everyone person thinks one should have his own private car. Which has led to more and more private cars are running on the road.
