Vocabulary

Severe – makes something stronger or worse
eg. There is a severe thunderstorm warning.

Numb – to have no feeling in a part of your body
eg. The dentist used ‘ma’ Sichuan spice to numb people’s mouths so they don’t feel pain.

Bacteria – a type of germ that can make people sick from food, water

Infectious [adj] – can make others sick (from a virus, not bacteria)
Infection [N]- sick from bacteria in your body
