Vocabulary

Contract – a legal document for something

Flyer – a small piece of paper that advertises something

Work experience vs jobs
Work experience is all your jobs
Jobs – each position at a company

Work space/environment/atmosphere

factor – 因素

Embassy -大使馆
Consulate – similar to an embassy but in other cities (not the capital city)

Collaborate – to work with someone/or another company to achieve a goal (cooperate until your goals are achieved)

Gig – a small amount of paid work (a few days)

Probation/trail period – 试用期 A short period of time (3-6 months) that your tested by a company before getting the full job
Trail – a period where you can try something for a cheaper price or free to see if you like it before buying.

Job security – your job is safe and you won’t be fired
eg. The older you are, the more important job security is.

Vacancy – something that has an open spot to be fill (jobs, hotels)

Classmates – 同学

Lightning – a long bolt of light that comes from the sky during storms 闪电
Thunder – the sound that comes after lightning 雷声

Forecast – 预报
天气预报 – weather forecast 

Dialect – different forms of the same language (usually different in each province/region)

Pinyin = pinyin
