Choose 4 idioms that you like and try to use them in a sentence.


Vocabulary

Lingo – some language or spoken phrases that don’t make sense (are not understood)
eg. I’m not sure what lingo or language he is using.

Phrase – a sentence commonly used (longer than vocabulary)
eg. There are many phrases you must learn to be fluent in a new language.
eg. What you at? (what are you doing? 英国)

Idiom – a phrase with special meaning
eg. It was a piece of cake. (that was so easy) –> My test was a piece of cake/so easy yesterday.
eg. I wrote one paper and gave it to two teachers….. Great two birds one stone! (2 problems solved by 1 thing)

Lightning – 闪电 (you can see it in the sky but not hear it)
Thunder – 打雷 (you can hear it but not see it)

Wrote (past tense of write)

Valuable – can be measured in money or Priceless
Priceless – 
something that has a lot valuable not because of how much money its worth.
eg. My grandma gave me some books and they are very valuable to me.
eg. Everyone thinks my big house is very valuable.

Excited – 兴奋
