Redeem – to take back something you lost (not an object, but something like honor)
eg. Argentina only has 1 chance left to redeem themselves after an awful tournament so far
Redemption – when your about to lose, you might have an opportunity to redeem yourself
eg. It is hard to get a redemption opportunity when you play it too safe.

Sure thing – something that will 99.9% happen

Mortgage vs loan vs transfer/wire payment
Mortgage – is only a loan for a house (only between one person and the bank)
Loan – money borrowed for an purpose
Transfer/wire payment- to send money to someone/company
eg. He has not got the transfer yet.
eg. I just transferred the money yesterday.

Tournament vs League
Tournament – lasts for a shorter time to decide the best teams
League – a very long season followed by playoffs

(single) – Elimination – if you lose one game then your out of the tournament
