Vocabulary

Stationary- everything that has to do with paper, pencils, and stickers.

e.g.  I love to go inside stationary stores and buy some new pens.

Glamorous- Things that are new and shiny and excite people.

e.g. Fashion is glamorous at the beginning, but eventually. the interest begins to fade.

Vivid- Something that has many details and is very realistic.

e.g. My dreams are always really vivid, so I’m afraid of having nightmares.

Nightmares- Very scary or terrible dreams.

e.g. Last night I had a terrible nightmare and got very scared.

Deja-Vu- The feeling you get of already having seen something or been somewhere.

e.g. I was walking with my friend when I suddenly got the feeling of deja vu.

Premonition- When you dream of something happening and then think it will actually happen.

e.g.  I had a premonition where I dreamed that I had very high scores and I actually got them on my exam!

Superstitious-  You believe in things like ghosts, or curses, or bad luck.

e.g. My om is very superstitious, she doesn’t let me open umbrellas in the house.

Athlete- A person who plays sports professionally.

e.g.  Yao Ming is China’s most famous athlete, he plays basketball very well.
