Horror – 吓人,Things that are scary, shocking or frightening

I dislike watching horror movies.

Hotpot – 火锅，A mixture of meats and vegetables cooked together.

My favorite thing to order during hotpot is beef rolls.

Pork stewed in soya sauce – 红烧肉

The next thing I want to learn to cook is pork stewed in soya sauce.

Frying Pan – 炒锅，A flat metal pan with a long handle, used for frying.

I bought a new frying pan yesterday.

Bok Choi – 青菜，A vegetable often used in Chinese cooking, that has dark green and thick white stems.

Shrimp – 虾，a small sea creature with a shell (flesh usually eaten)

I am allergy to shrimps.

Corn – 玉米

Corn is one of my favorite food.

Bitter – 苦，A strong taste which is not salty or sweet.

I don’t like coffee, because it is bitter.
