The article talks about the threat of pollution for human’s health. I’m astonished the result that one in six deaths worldwide is because of pollution. The article regards most of these deaths were in developing countries including China.
I think the issue is determined by the stage of economic development and the understanding of the people. In China, improving the environment issues, particularly air quality, is what people are hoping for and is critical to sustainable development. I’m glad that the government has taken the strictest supervision on environment protection and made the decision that changes the mode of economic development.
For each person, I think we should do more to protect our environment. For example, water saving, green travel from riding bike, non-using plastic bags, less using paper.

I’m glad that the government has taken the strictest supervision on environmental protection and made the decision that changes the mode of economic development. Around/About 5 years ago, the government didn’t want to shut down the enterprises which severely polluted the environment because officials didn’t want to sacrifice economic growth. Now, if (these) enterprises can’t meet/reach the standard requirements they wouldn’t receive licenses.
