The movie the Zookeeper’s wife

This movie, based on the true story happened during World War 2 in Warsaw, in Poland.
At the beginning of the movie we met the zookeeper Jan Zabinski and his wife Antonia, who owned the Warsaw Zoo and also lived at this zoo with their son. In 1939 Germany invaded Poland and Jan with his family survived the bombarding of the city, but their animals didn’t have such a luck. Many of the animals were killed by occupiers or transferred to the Berliner Zoo. After that Jan got a big idea to rescue Jewish before Naciz. He started to smuggle them out from the Warsaw ghetto and hidden them in animal cages in the basement of his house. It was extremely risky because German army had occupied the Zoo for an armory. At the end of this exciting movie Jan with his family rescued about 300 Jewish’s life’s.
