When I think about my grandfather, he is always very kind and silent. He was born in a small town named 象山 in 宁波 which is famous for seafood. Actually I don’t know the specific year of his birth, but I remember some small things which impressed me very much about him.
One thing is when I was a child, I found a picture in my home and I though the man in the pic looks so handsome. At that time, I didn’t make out who he is until my mom told me that he is my grandfather, which was really surprising me. Even by now, I still believe that there must had been a lot of girls like my grandfather when he was young.
Another things impressed me much is he never stopped working until he was too old. There was one year’s 除夕， my grandfather came back very late because of his fruit business. At that time, he have been over 60 years old.
He has four children, 3 girls with 1 boy, and 4 granddaughters. One and two years ago, we once talked about my boyfriend, my work, my life…and he told me that his best wish is to see my happiness. I told him, ” I am very happy.”, and I promise him that I will get marriage soon. Now I lost my words. I want to tell him that I am still happy, just by another way.
It is very hard to see your relatives growing older and older, until one day they pass away, and all he left are only memories.
We don’t talk a lot right now because he is very weakness. Sometimes I feel so scare, but most of times I just pretend to ignore my feeling.

One thing is when I was a child, I found a picture in my home and I thought the man in the pic looked so handsome. At that time, I didn’t make out who he was until my mom told me that he is my grandfather, which was really surprising to me / which really surprised me. Even now, I still believe that there must had been a lot of girls who liked my grandfather when he was young.

He has four children, 3 girls and 1 boy, and 4 granddaughters. Two years ago, we once talked about my boyfriend, my work, my life…and he told me that his biggest/grandest wish is to see me happy. I told him, ” I am very happy,” and I promised him that I will get married soon.

To this day, I haven’t kept my promise.
I still haven’t fulfilled my promise.

I want to tell him that I am still happy, just in a different way. 
It is very hard to see your relatives growing older and older, until one day they pass away, and all he left for me are memories. / and all I have left are memories of him.
We don’t talk a lot right now because he is very weak. Sometimes I feel so scared, but most of the time I just push these emotions aside / try to make the best of this situation.
