Reading

Richard Hendricks (Thomas Middleditch) is a shy, reclusive programmer who works at a large internet company called Hooli. He is also developing a music app called Pied Piper in a live-in startup business incubator run by entrepreneur Erlich Bachman (T. J. Miller). After a rocky post-TED elevator pitch of Pied Piper to venture capitalist Peter Gregory (Christopher Evan Welch), Hendricks also shows his work to a pair of programmers at Hooli who mock him. Within hours, however, Hooli executive Donald “Jared” Dunn (Zach Woods) and Gregory’s assistant Monica (Amanda Crew) discover that the app contains a revolutionary data compression algorithm.

Speaking exercise

Recently, I watched a TV show called Silcon Valley. It is a story about programmer made a software called piedpiper. There are 4 programmers in a house and a person who is doing CV. CV is the person who pursued people to invest in the program or they invent.

There are 2 big companies wanted to invest in piedpiper. One company the plan is to buy down the piedpaper forever and the programmers don’t have rights anymore.

Another company the plan is invest in and get 10% stocks. It is a hard choice for the programmer. He felt very intense and even vomited during the discussions. Actually he went to the toilet and wanted to sit on the toilet to think over the whole thing and have a rest but at last he vomited into the pants.

I stopped watching. Actually it is the first season story and serial season is more about how they persuade more people to invest in.

When I watch the first season I think it was very gross. Many words like F*** they always said such words. And then I think it is very interesting there are many different people, Asian, Pakistan and American people. They have confrontation during the daily life they live together.

Recently, I watched a TV show called Silcon Valley. It is a story about programmers who made/built/created/designed a software program called piedpiper. There are 4 programmers who live together in a house and a person who is a venture capitalist. A venture capitalist is a person who pursues people to invest in programs.

There are 2 big companies that wanted to invest in piedpiper. One company’s plan is to buy Pied Piper by buying out the programmers so they don’t have ownership/shares/rights to the company anymore.

Another company’s plan is to invest in Pied Piper and get 10% of the stock. This is a hard decision for the programmer. He was anxious/nervous/a total mess and even vomited during the meetings. Actually he went to the restroom and wanted to sit on a toilet to think over the whole thing and take a break but at last he vomited into his pants.

I stopped watching. Actually it is the first season plot. The rest of the serial story is more about how the programmers persuade more people to invest in their company.

When I watched the first season I thought it was very gross. They always said such words like “F***”. And then I think it is very interesting because there are many different nationalities like Asian, Pakistan and American. They have daily confrontations/problems/mishaps/disagreements/arguments while living together.
