Q: What is the biggest challenge you have encountered in your teaching experience?
A: I didn’t think I do it correctly. I took a lot of measures to stop the kid from cheating in exams. But perhaps he developed a habit of cheating on exams… I just told them that they might pay attention to their son. But I didn’t think it work out. After the whole class finished, the boy graduated and he went to another company to study… A year passed, his mother found me and asked me if I could do a private teaching online… that was the last convo between us.. Especially his mom was always pushing his son and giving his son a busy schedule… he didn’t have much time to play. He wanted to do better to show his mother that “I could do well” so you don’t have to give me so many lessons. I want to behave nice and don’t show my anger..

However, if a teacher is too close to the students, their relationship won’t be healthy. A video clip went viral the other day. In the video, a female teacher kissed her kindergarten student, a boy, mouth to mouth. She justified herself by saying that she was showing her love for that student, and that she would marry him when he grew up. I felt sick when I saw this. Just because a teacher is one of the most influential people in his students’ lives does not mean that he can do whatever he wants. A teacher should always bear in mind that his job is to impart knowledge and develop his students’ physical and mental health and he must bear in mind his work ethics.
Therefore, a teacher should not only be closer to the students, but also keep a good distance with them. Don’t be an autocrat who gives the students too much pressure, nor a pervert who shouldn’t be called a “teacher†at all!

In the video, a female teacher kissed her kindergarten student, a boy, mouth to mouth. She justified herself by saying that she was showing her love for that student, and that she would marry him when he grew up. I felt sick when I saw this. Just because a teacher is one of the most influential people in students’ lives does not mean that she can do whatever she wants. A teacher is one of the most influential people in a student’s life, but it does not give her the right to do whatever she pleases./manipulate the student according to her personal pleasure/preference. A teacher should always bear in mind that his job is to impart knowledge and assist/guide/aid the development of his students’ physical and mental health/well-being and he must uphold his work ethics/the teacher’s oath/mission/disciplines.
Therefore, a teacher should not only be close to the students, but also keep a respectable/ethical distance. Don’t be an autocrat who gives the students too much pressure, nor a pervert who shouldn’t be called a “teacher†at all!/doesn’t deserve the teacher’s name.
