Q: A piece of interesting news

A: Recently I read on the news about a very successful Chinese TV drama called the bad kids. It is very successful horror series, a summer hit, you may say, and it is praised by the main-stream media which is very abnormal. FMP, it has a rather subversive theme, it tells a story how a math teacher turned a mass killer. Not only it was only praised by the ms media, it gained popularity among the Chin public because it was given a score of … on DB, an online rating platform. So the news focused on the content of the TV series, how it was made , actually the TV drama was adapted from a novel written by… its screen version made by AQY, Chinese ver of netflix. It also focused on the reason of its popularity in China. It’s saying that the reason why many Chi people like it is because it depicts a messy moral code. It doesn’t give the audience a black-and-white view of things, it tells people that … tell lies for selfish reasons but also because they’re afraid to lose someone they care about. because in modern China, we’re so used to a neat moral code, which is all about positive energy, the joy of the party rule, and I think someone the popularity of this show just demonstrates how people are fed up with the bossy propaganda and crave a bit of messiness in the moral code.

It is very successful horror series, a summer hit, you may say, and it is praised by the main-stream media which I find very abnormal. FMP, it has a rather subversive theme, it tells a story of a math teacher who turned into a mass killer/serial killer. Not only was it only praised by the ms media, it also gained popularity among the Chin public. It was given a score of … on DB, an online rating platform. / It was so popular among the Chinese audience that it was ….. So the news article discussed the content of the TV series, how it was made , actually the TV drama was adapted from a novel written by… its screen version made by AQY, Chinese ver of netflix. It also focused on the reason for its popularity in China/analyzes why it became a hit. It’s saying that the reason why so many Chi people like it is because it depicts a messy moral code, as opposed to the appropriate set of ethics the Chinese are used to seeing on screen in the past. It doesn’t promote black-and-white values, it tells people that … tell lies for selfish reasons but also because they’re afraid to lose someone they care about. In modern China, we’re bombarded with a neat moral code, which is all about positive energy and happy endings, and I think somehow the popularity of this show just demonstrates how people have had enough with the bossy party propaganda on screen and are starting to crave a bit of exciting messiness.
