Topic: Do you think that praising children/students is effective? What is the more effective way of managing the class?

ie. Your speech should be passionate, not generic.

Grammar

to be : be careful when using this verb. Does the logic make sense? left side = right side.

There be: cannot be used with time phrase… because it’s a description , time = event

This test is combined four parts.

These four parts combined(adj) make up the test.
Your English skills, combined with my Chinese skills, would make us invincible. 

I quite not pronounce that correctly.
I did not/could not (quite) pronounce my words very clearly.

Q: Tell me about yourself. Why do you want to apply here? What makes you a good fit?
A: English is my first job. Since I was an English teacher, I’ve been quite used to teaching English. That’s one of my ability. But as time goes by, there are some areas that I’m not very good at. For example, teaching skills and how to communicate with my students, and also class man. Because of my lack of teaching skills, it really stops me from being a perfect teacher. So I really want to go for this study. I also know that your university is very famous in SH, esp. in teaching. So out of interest and out of my whole career development, it’s necessary for us to enter this university.

A: Teaching English is my first job. Since I’ve been teaching English for 4 years, I’ve grown quite used to teaching English. In this case, my experience is definitely one of my biggest strengths. But as time goes by, I found/discovered that there are some areas that I’m not very good at/even with all my experience, I still have lots of things to work on/ areas of self-improvement. For example, how to communicate with my students, and how to manage the class. I feel that they have become the obstacles on my way to be the best teacher I can be. So I’m looking forward to overcoming these challenges and improving my teaching skills. So here I am. And also, I know that ECNU is very well-known in SH, esp. for its education major. I also know that nearly all of its graduates will go on to be English teachers. I hope that my past practical experience, combined with all the important theoretical knowledge that ECNU can offer me, I would be better equipped as a professional English teacher. So both out of personal interest and my long-term career development, I would love to study here. I know that this is a competitive school, and I feel that it’s my honor to be considered for this opening/spot.
