ing = NEEDS “TO BE” = verb, or else it’s a noun

I drove my car to the hospital for my skin appointment/to treat my skin

I want to stay in my car in the parking lot.
I wanted to park my car in the parking lot. /find a spot in the parking lot.

He told me to park ….
He told me to just park along the road./by the road-side.

I only sleeping on the bed for 3 minutes. My dad opened the door … go fast…
I was only sleeping on the bed for 3 minutes/I had only slept for 3 minutes when my dad opened the door of/to the hospital room and said hurry up..
