Vocabulary

underestimate: di gu
ie. I underestimated your English ability!

prison: jian yu
ie. After he went to prison, he’s a changed(adj) man.
ie. Prison changed(action) him forever.

mix(v): jiao ban (n) zong he (adj) mixed

bartender: tiao jiu shi

specialty: zhuan chang (n) (v) specialize (in)
ie. What did you specialize in in school?

a better fit for (n): geng shi he (n)

Grammar

They’re easily(adv) mixed-up (adj).
They are easy to mix-up.

change: doesn’t have to be an action started by S, just a fact, so you don’t have to put it in passive
ie. My schedule keeps changing. My schedule always changes. <– my schedule is always different.

“Maybe it’ll take me 30 minutes to get here.”
“That would be my estimate(n) too.”

issue = matter = topic

“I did the same (thing) yesterday.”  I did that too. I did so.

“so” -> substitute for an entire sentence/idea/opinion.
ie. I thought so. I think so too.

Speaking exercise
