Writing exercise

At a restaurant with my friend
Yesterday I invited my friend from Togo to have dinner in a restaurant, which was the second time I met her.
Since yesterday was the last day of 2016, there were so many people in the department. I came there early, so I asked for a seat and wait for her.
A few minutes later, she arrived.
During the dinner, we changed our opinions and thinkings to each other. She said she was a Christian, which made me happy, cause I also believed in God. It was the first time that I heard the foreign thinking about God and the Bible and I learnt a lot from her. The most surprising thing was that my another friend, Joshua from USA was also a Christian. She suggested that in the future we could meet together to talk about the Bible. I totally accepted her advice/suggestion.
After the meal, I went home and she went to the supermarket. It was a fun night.

Yesterday I invited my friend from Togo to have dinner in a restaurant which was the second time I saw her/met up with her.
Since yesterday was the last day of 2016, there were so many people in the mall. I went/arrived there early, so I asked for a table and waited for her.
A few minutes later, she arrived.
During dinner, we exchanged our opinions and thoughts with each other. She said she was a Christian, which made me happy because I also believe in God. It was the first time that I heard a foreigner’s opinions and thoughts about God and the Bible and I learnt a lot from her. The most surprising thing was that my other friend, Joshua from USA, is also a Christian. She suggested that in the future we could meet together to talk about the Bible. I totally agreed with her. / I said, “It’s a date!”
After dinner, I went home and she went to the supermarket. It was a fun night.
