house salad / small salad / starter salad – usually mixed lettuce (sheng cai), tomato (fan qie), carrot (hu luo bo), cucumber (huang gua), onion (yang cong), croutons (small, crisp, crunchy pieces of bread) and your choice of salad dressing

salad dressing – salad sauce

***when asking for beer, call it by its name if you know which beer, or point to a picture if it has a difficult name
