eg: “The mascots for the Olympics in Beijing stood for some Chinese culture.”

Chimera – a mythical beast that has many different parts of different animals.

eg: “I lost my ring, it had a Chinese Chimera made of jade.”

obligation N. – something that you must do, because of a rule, or a law

eg: “We have an obligation to our clients.”

obligatory adj. – something you feel that you must do

eg: “Around Spring Festival there is an obligatory question most people ask. Where are you travelling for Spring festival?”   “We have to reply to some obligatory emails.”

obligated adj. – used for people, when they must do something

“You are legally obligated to repay the loan.”
