My name’s Lina, I’m 35 and I’m from Hunan,China. I translate Japanese to Chinese. I want to study English because I like it.
Grammar
How to use a VERB or a NOUN in a sentence.
I translate (V.) Japanese. It is a verb.
I’m a ______? translator (N.) It is a Noun.
I teach English. It is a verb.
I’m a teacher. It is a noun.
How to use an ADJ. (Adjective)
I’m an English teacher. adj. + N.
I’m a _____ translator. Japanese
I’m a ______ woman. beautiful, Chinese I’m a beautiful Chinese woman.
I’m not married. I + am + ADJ./ I + am + not + ADJ.
I am happy.
I am not very tall.
Vocabulary
verb – dongci an action word
eg: “A verb is an action word.”
noun – mingci, a person, place or thing
eg: ” A noun is a naming word.”
Adjective – xinrongci, an information word, it tells us about nouns
eg: “An adjective is a descriptive word.”
about – guanyu
eg: “What are you talking about?” “This class is about English.”
handsome – shuai ge, good looking man
eg: “You are handsome.”
married – jiehun
“I’m not married.”
children – haizi
“I like children.”
mistakes – cuo, something that is not correct
eg: “Tell me if I make a mistake.”
correct – dui de, something that is not a mistake
eg: “Is that correct?”
