slept in – to sleep later than usual, because maybe you have nothing important to do

eg: “Today I slept in until 10:30.”

blind date – to go on a date with a person you haven’t met yet

eg: “I have a blind date this afternoon, my friend introduced me to him.”

ethnicity – someone’s genetic(DNA) background

eg: “He was ethnically Chinese but born in another country.”

VR – Virtual reality

eg: “We set up a VR demonstration at one of our client’s stores.”

Augmented reality – currently it uses your cellphone camera to add some virtual things to the image of the real world that your camera sees

eg: “More and more camera apps are applying augmented reality technology.”

immersive – completely surrounded or inside

eg: “VR is more immersive than AR.”

Gimmick – a method or trick that is used to get people’s attention or to sell something

eg: “I think AR right now is still kind of a gimmick, it doesn’t really affect the use of the apps, except for some silly things.”
