I’m planning to apply for Summer Pre-MBA Boot Camp on this July. And these are my essay answers for the application. 🙂

Essay question #1. Why you would like to join the Summer Pre-MBA Boot Camp.
After 7 years of professional experience in beauty industry, I could develop and use my marketing communication skills. However, I eventually want to develop myself more into a leadership position that allows me to continue to use these skills while also managing a marketing group. I look towards a MBA to translate my experience into larger scale with an eye to managing multinational beauty company in the future. As the first step, I believe CEIBS’s Pre-MBA Boot Camp is wonderful opportunity to get to know how MBA courses work and expose the way to approach my ultimate career goal.

Essay question#2. What are your career aspirations.
5 years from now I intend to be a marketing manager at a multinational beauty company, in charge integrated marketing and branding strategy, and leading its business steps in China, such as Estee Lauder adapting new technologies to approach Millennials generation or Loreal re-launching new Korean cosmetic brand, 3CE, specifically for Chinese market.

My long term vision is to become a marketing director in an Asian beauty corporation entering new market, and build a foundation to the company’s business and marketing position in that country. I want to be the person who directs the regional strategy, creates marketing campaign and executes it.

** This is sort of a strange rule, but with an acronym like “MBA,” the first sound is actually the name of the letter, not the letter itself (compare “em-bee-ay” to “mom”; the first actually begins with an “e” sound while the second begins with the “m” sound).

(Good Luck!)
