During the lockdown, I was asked to teach online. At first, I wasn’t used to teaching online and found that it was lowly efficient. However, when I adjusted my teaching methods and made good use of online resources, I recognized the benefits of online teaching. When I was informed that regular face-to-face classes could return to normal in China, I kind of missed those days when I taught class online.

During those six months of e-teaching, I discovered many useful online teaching materials, but I also thought about education inequalities caused by disproportionate allocation of teaching resources. On the one hand, I grow more interested in e-learning and am anxious to learn more about this new field. On the other hand, I believe that e-learning could help to alleviate education inequalities and grant more kids in less-developed areas the chance of learning, if they have access to networks.

Hmm – on the one hand and on the other hand is usually used when the 2 things don’t necessarily agree. For example: On the one hand, I really want to eat this whole cake, but on the other hand I know that it will make me sick… so it’s a difficult decision. In your example I would just say “I have grown more interested ……. as well as this, I feel that e-learning could…. etc”
