I graduated from Donghua University with master degree. My major is in fashion design and engineering. After graduated, I worked in a trading company as garment technical designer. As the company is not so big, I was assigned to handle the orders from development to production. So I gained a lot about the production. I worked in the company for 5 year. Then I got a job opportunity from a Brazil company LRS. But I only severed them for 4 months, because the production-line is low-end. I hope to input my knowledge for high-end garment. Then I got the opportunity from H&M in 2015 11. It was the beginning of Arket, the new brand, lunched by H&M this year. I am the first technician for this brand. In fact I love the brand like my baby. It is fantastic to see the brand growing up together with myself growing up. And my hard work was approved by my company also. I got promotion as senior technician this Monday. But thinking in rational, my career in dream is to give more input for the fashion market, not just following. So I eagerly hope to work closely with the marketing aspect. At the very beginning after graduated, I was trying to work in the marketing department, but I found the garment technology is not so necessary for the daily work. And my strength is on garment technology. So I finally chose the work as garment technician. And now I found garment developer is the job combined the garment technology and marketing, which is my dreaming work.
1. Garment fitting: I have been interested in garment pattern all the time. During my school time, I got the certificate of Senior Garment Pattern-maker. And this year, I got the certificate of garment technologist (level 2). During my work, I am the garment technician. So fitting is always my core responsibility. As a garment developer, it will have much higher requirement for the ability. Because it will affect the final quality on fitting, and off course affect the selling.
2. Material: I have the basic knowledge from the school and my 1st job in the trading company. This part I should try my best to improve in the future daily work. As to the basic knowledge I owned, I have confidence to get the necessary knowledge in short time. Visit exhibition and fabric supplier and so on, learn the basic knowledge, and analyses the variety styles. Then I will become the expert
3. Working process will be changed as final decision i/o following up & suggestion provider. Thinking carefully for each decision, give decision clearly. In order to let the sourcing team understand correctly, explain to them the reason of my decision i/o just order. Doing like this I think I could get more good suggestion from other team.

In one sentence, garment developer must be an active person who has the ability and attitude to response to marketing and designer department, set up the measurement, create the special pattern shape and select the suitable material to get good effects but avoid the risk and so on.
