Travel diary entry Oct.14, Las Vegas & LA

Today we went to visit Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam.

The first stop is Grand Canyon. We started from Las Vegas at 5 in the morning and arrived there at 7:30. It seems that we were the first batch of tourists of today. We took the helicopter and boat firstly which was total around one hour and can both overlook the landscape and arrived in the Inner Gorge to view the sight. After that we visited two sights inside the Canyon which named Yaki Point and Yavapai Point.

The second stop is Hoover Dam which is the biggest Dam in the U.S. The guide told us that Hoover Dam Project caused the heated discussion in the mainstream of society for its disadvantage. So after that, there is no this kind of project in the United States. It makes me think of the Three Gorges Dam Project in the China which caused lots of environment problems but Chinese government just chooses to ignore everything.

Now is 3:17 in the afternoon and tonight we will flight to LA and live in the downtown. We plan to go to outlet tomorrow and I am so looking forward to the crazy shopping tomorrow
