Travel diary entry Oct.9 in Las Vagus

Today is the sixth day and now it is local time 11:46 AM. According to schedule, today we will spend full day on going to the Yellow Stone National Park.

We changed another tour guide this morning that who will be responsible for our next trip. The guide played ‘Mr. Beam’ for us which is a really classic British TV show.

We took a break in some gas station and I had a quarrel with my father just now. He heard the conversation between the bus driver and me, and he though I shouldn’t argue with that guy.

I was so confused because I just wanted
to clarify whether we can have lunch in the bus or not. If not, please let me know when and where we can have lunch. If yes, please give me a trash bag for throwing up.

I told my father, firstly, I don’t think I am fighting with someone, most of time, I just want to clarify something. Secondly, you can choose to ignore me if you don’t like some behave of mine, but no challenge. Be respect!

You know sometimes I really feel so sad to be with my parents. They always treat me like their private thing. On the one hand, they love me and be proud of me and want to give me everything they could. On the other hand, they hope they can totally control me like what I am eat, what I dress, what I am working for and what kind of person I am fall in love with… If I did anything out of their control, they would like to correct me and tell me that’s all the best for me!

Travel diary entry Oct.9 in Las Vegas

Today is the sixth day and now the local time is 11:46 AM. According to our/the schedule, today we will spend one full day going to Yellow Stone National Park.

We changed another tour guide this morning ***What does this mean? who will be responsible for our next trip. He played ‘Mr. Bean’ for us which is a really classic British TV show.

We took a break in some gas station along the way and I argued (had a quarrel) with my father just now. He overheard the conversation between the bus driver and me, and he thought I shouldn’t argue with that guy.

I was so confused because I just wanted to clarify whether we can have lunch in the bus or not. If not, please let me know when and where we can have lunch. If yes, please give me a trash bag for throwing up.

I told my father, firstly, I don’t think I am fighting with someone, most of time, I just want to clarify something. Secondly, you can choose to ignore me if you don’t like my behavior, but no challenge.***What does this mean?  Be respectful!

You know sometimes I really feel so sad to be with my parents. They always treat me like their private thing.***? On the one hand, they love me and are proud of me and want to give me everything they can. On the other hand, they wish/desire that they can totally control me like what I (can) eat, what I wear, which company I work for/who I am working for and what kind of person I fall in love with… If I do anything out of their control, they correct me and tell me that’s all the best for me!***What does this mean?

Hi Ruby!

I’m sorry to that you get carsick! That’s awful! Try sitting near the front of the bus and look out the windows at the horizon. Also, there were a few phrases in your diary entry that I don’t understand. You can try to edit it yourself so it’s more clear or just talk about it in your next class when you come back.

Have fun!
