Travel diary entry Oct.8 in LA

Today we went to Yosemite National Park in the morning and back to LA from SF in the afternoon.

Yosemite National Park is the first State Park in US in 1890 and then it have been promoted as an National Park till now. We spent 2 hours to drive up the mountain and stayed in 1 hour and spent 2 hours to drive down, what sounds crazy but that’s just a normal day to travel with a tour.

Drove down the mountain is super tough for me and I can’t stop to throw up even If I know I didn’t eat a lot that morning. Our tour guide took us to a Chinese buffet in the lunch time. I told that host that I won’t have lunch due to I got car sick but my parents will eat here and I want to use their restroom for a moment. I though she would say, ‘Sure. Of course. Take care, please.’ But her answer really shocked me. She said, ‘ Sorry Miss, we only provide restroom to our customer.’ I felt so angry because I though she would never say that to an American. So I told her let me in or I call 911 let me in. Finally my guide figure it out but I really feel so bad about that because there always are some Chinese American look down on Chinese but they forgot where did they come from

Travel diary entry Oct.8 in LA

Today we went to Yosemite National Park in the morning and went back to LA from SF in the afternoon.

In 1980, Yosemite National Park was the first state park in the US and then it was promoted as a National Park. We spent 2 hours to drive up the mountain and stayed for 1 hour and (then) spent 2 hours to drive down, which sounds crazy but that’s just a normal day while on a tour.

Riding/Driving down the mountain was super tough for me and I couldn’t stop throwing up even though I know I didn’t eat a lot that morning. Our tour guide took us to a Chinese buffet for lunch. I told the host that I won’t have lunch due to the fact that I got car sick but my parents will eat here and I want to use their restroom for a moment. I though she would say, “Sure. Of course. Take care, please,” but her answer really shocked me. She said, “Sorry Miss, we only provide restrooms to our customers.” I felt so angry because I thought she would never say that to an American. So I told her let me in or I will call the police. Finally my guide figured it (all) out but I really feel so bad that there are always some Chinese Americans who look down on Chinese because they forget/forgot where they (truly/really) come/came from.
