Double F2F Class Notes (Kyle) (S+W)

Homework

Rewrite this paragraph about your son’s future using the new vocabulary.

My son wants to be a solider, as he has told me about that frequently. He wants me to send him to the army when he grows up. I think it’s a good idea. In my opinion, my son is a tough boy right now and he will become a tough man.

He would like to fighting and in his mind he would never give up.—-> He has a solider’s spirit. (describes him)
But in my son’s age, he can only see the solider as holding hold guns or weapons and can’t think about the future things/he doesn’t fully realize what is means to be a solider/man. Maybe one day soliders won’t be going war on the battleground, but instead they will maintain world peace. I hope that we can all share a future of world peace and security.

-that’s a big deal / a very serious personal issue

“Practice makes perfect” = a famous saying, a traditional phrase, everybody says this
