Demo Class Notes (Lynette – Tibo)

Speaking exercise

I am working for Bloomberg as a salesperson.
I have a lot of calls with stakeholders overseas so I want to improve my performance and learn how to construct a sentence quickly and more logically.
If I got to prepare in advance I am fine but when it comes to more interactive calls I get stuck.
It it is my native language I am more comfortable to do that. It is easier to speak some sentences and then get to the core.
It is mostly for internals some of the deals we wanna sell to our clients so we want to collaborate with colleagues.
I had a call with the global rep. we had been trying to push the deal forward, it is almost in the last stage. we are waiting for the feedback to confirm which vendor they want to choose.

nervous or maybe I have a high expectation on the way I speak.

I do want to improve the skills because I am not sure the language is formal enough or concise enough.

I need to write emails a lot but I guess writing emails is ok but it depends if it is routine communication or send as a leader.
Writing a letter to a mass audience is something I haven’t done.

We have a lot of emails like how do you motivate people …

it is something I am planning to go forward

If I get to prepare in advance I am fine but when it comes to more interactive calls I get stuck. / my only issue is with interactive calls which aren’t planned / improvised calls

When it is in my native language I am more comfortable to do that. It is easier to buy time to think about an answer / play the watch  / gain some time to think and then get to the core.
It is mostly for internal meetings some of the deals we wanna sell to our clients inso we want to collaborate with colleagues / are the result of a cooperation with colleagues .
As a global company deals we push to our clients necessitate/require the collaboration of our colleagues throughout the world
I had a call with the global rep. we had been trying to push the deal forward, it was almost in the last stage. we were waiting for the feedback to confirm which vendor they want to choose.  / which vendor they would pick

I need to write emails a lot but I guess writing emails is ok but it depends if it is routine communication or a mass letter as a leader.  / if depends on the recipient , if it is internal and casual I don’t really about it but when writing to a mass audience I would doubt myself
Writing a letter to a mass audience is something I haven’t done much.

We have a lot of emails like how do you motivate people …

I am targeting this position  / I am expecting a promotion / It is in my career plan / I am looking forward to it (if it is a done deal but not official yet)
