Speaking exercise

My name is Skye , I work on a Korea cosmetic company and my career is marketing communication. skin care products and make up products.  for PR and advertising.

And my hobby is running and yoga.

We often have meetings and have to use English. My second language is Korean.

Now because of the virus conference call meetings. We have the TV and the conference equipment
Not always, maybe 3 times a week send the email to the global team.
Photoshoot is also one of my jobs. we have our local celebrities so I need to manage the shoot.
It’s hard for me to say and because my limited words so if you say too quickly maybe I cant understand totally.
For me marketing communication like our advertising results and some KOL and celebrities topics.
because I prepare before the meeting so for presentation I think it is ok but the Q&A is hard to me.

It’s hard for me to express myself because of my limited words / because I lack the vocabulary so if you speak too quickly maybe I can’t understand totally.

I prepare before the meeting so for presentation I think it is ok but the Q&A is hard to me. / but I always worry about the Q&A/ the Q&A is a source of stress

Writing exercise

structure for a first email:

  • greeting (dear…. / hi….)
  • a compliment (I was very impressed by your last pictures / I hope you had a great week end / I hope this email finds you well)
  • the reason for your email ( I am writing to you about …. /I am contacting you regarding …)
  • a call to action (please confirm the proposal by Friday/ could you confirm…? / would you mind confirming …?)
  • a closing message (looking forward to hearing from you / looking forward to working with you / looking forward to your feedback/response….)
  • signature (best regards , …)
